After drawing the center line, I trace on a piece of hardboard each half from the paper pattern I made earlier.
Here is the result. Note that an optical illusion from the camera shows the bottom of the lines curved towards the inside.
I’m making the cut at the band saw staying 1/8’’ away from the line. This cut could have been done with a jigsaw.
At my shopmade spindle sander, I smooth the cut to the line.
Here I hold the workpiece in the vise and I smooth the center intersection with files and sandpapers.
