Once again, nice job Dusty.

Do you plane and joint your lumber your you are lucky enough to get good first quality dried lumber?

Is it your own design? Is it for your own yard or for a client? I believe it will be finished with oil as usual.

MY OWN DESIGN BUT AS I WAS MAKING IT I CHANGED THE THE ANGLE OF THE APEX ROOF. THIS WAS MADE FOR CUSTOMER.AS TO THE PALLET SLATS FOR ROOF THESE WERE STORED IN MY ATTIC TO DRY OUT AS HEAT RISES.I CLAMPED THEM IN SETS OF  4 X6  4 HIGH 6 WIDE.AS ALWAYS I PICK AND CHOOSE PALLETS  SAME AS CLS TIMBER. WILL FINISH IN OIL BOILED LINSEED.AS ITS WATER PROOF AND EASY TO RE OIL AGAIN.STAINING TIMBER IS OK BUT IF THEY WANT IT SAY DARK OAK STAIN,OR ANY TYPE STAIN? I FIND THAT OVER A PERIOD IN THE GARDEN THEY TEND TO GET COVERED IN POLLEN SAP MOSS OVER THE YEARS.THEN YOU HAVE TO WASH THE FURNITURE AND RERUB DOWN BEFORE STAINING AGAIN .WITH OIL YOU JUST WIPE DOWN WITH DAMP CLOTH.PLUS IT WILL GO GOLDEN HONEY COLOUR OVER THE YEARS.I DONT MAKE THE ARBOURS OR BENCHES EVERY DAY ,WISH I HAD ORDERS TO MAKE THEM,BUT THESE ARE MADE NOW AND AGAIN WHEN A CUSTOMER WANTS ONE.AND PRICES VARY ON WHAT DESIGNS THEY WANT .THE ONE YOU SEE SOLD FOR £245  TIMBER/LUMBER COST £65 THATS INCLUDING LINSEED OIL. IT TAKES ME IN HOURS TO MAKE 19 .ITS EASY ONCE MACHINES ARE SET UP.SIDE RAILS ARE MORTICE AND TENNON .THE ROOF IS REBATED SO ROOF PANELS SIT FLUSH.THE FIXINGS I USE ARE STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS.THE GOOD THING ABOUT MAKING FURNITURE FROM PALLET WOOD AND CLS, IS THAT I ENJOY DOING IT.BETTER THAN A 7 TO 5 JOB BANGING NAILS IN TIMBER ON A BUILDING SITE.OR WHEN I USE TO DO THAT IN THE 80s AND I STILL GOT MY ESTWING CLAW AND A PASLODE.PASLODE STILL COMES IN HANDY NOW AND AGAIN.
