Bark

In plants without secondary growth or before its onset include the bark, the ground tissue between the epidermis and the stele of the root or the cambium of the stem axis. The bark is usually rich in intercellular spaces and is often used for storing it. Often found in the bark tissue as well as consolidating and sclerenchyma Kollenchymstränge. In plants with secondary growth is the cambium from the outside votes Bast (secondary phloem) counted for the (secondary) cortex. This consists of sieve tubes with companion cells, bast fibers, and Sklereiden. Part of this bark is the conclusion of Secondary tissue periderm. Colloquially this periderm bark is equated with the concept.
