Bosch 4V Lithium-Ion Screwdriver

Don’t let the small size fool you. The new Bosch 4-volt lithium-ion screwdriver fits in the hardest to reach places, making it perfect for attaching hinges and other finish work. It comes with a case, two batteries and a one- hour charger that charges both Bosch’s 4-volt and 12-volt batteries.

One handy feature is Autolock, which automatically locks the bit holder in one position when the trigger is released. This allows you to manually tighten or loosen a net or screw by hand if higher turning torque is needed. It also has a magnetic hex chuck that holds the bit and screw in place during use. An LED light right below the bit illuminates dark spaces.

It’s surprisingly powerful, and works in a pinch for more torque-heavy applications. The variable speed trigger, when used wisely, prevents breaking or stripping out a small screw. In our tests, the drill was able to drive a #8 1-1/2” screw into a piece of poplar, though definitely not as quickly as higher-powered drills might have.
