E∙Z Pro Joining Jigs

General Tools & Instruments (General®) continues to grow and enhance its E∙Z Pro™ Line of Precision Wood Joining Jigs to provide cost-effective, innovative and unrivaled tools capable of producing professional level Dovetail, Box, Mortise and Tenon, Pocket Hole and Dowel joints. Big, expensive and complex joining set-ups are no longer necessary. With the addition of a router or drill, General’s new and improved, easy-to-use jigs enable woodworkers to produce professional joints right-out-of-the-box. All of the jigs were designed in-house by General’s engineering team, are compact and portable, and are now anodized in a gold color to impede corrosion.

E∙Z Pro Dovetailer II Jig (Model #861) The newest addition to the EZ Pro line, this jig is General’s answer to producing strong, precise dovetail joints quickly and easily. Produce half-blind or through dovetail joints or box joints using only your router. Its self-aligning design ensures that both ends of the dovetail joint match up evenly every time. The Dovetailer II is perfect for furniture building, cabinet making and other professional carpentry projects. New features:

  • Control knobs assure comfortable, accurate and safe use with a router table.
  • Stabilizer foot (bar) provides better control of cuts.
  • Enhanced clamping system with three-point knobs improves torque and grip, and more firmly secures wood in jig.
  • Improved plastic guides produce more accurate cuts.
  • New markings clearly indicate which side to use for which cut (i.e., pins or tails).

E∙Z Pro Mortise & Tenon Jig (Model #870) This new jig provides the first quick and easy, all-in-one solution to cutting a matching mortise and tenon with a single affordable jig. Using a plunge router, woodworkers can cut both mortises and tenons ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 in. thick and from 1 to 3 in. long. Right out-of-the-box, the jig is ready to use to produce the widely used 1/4 in. mortise and tenon joint with the included high-speed, steel, spiral up-cut router bit. Additionally, 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. joints can be made using spiral up-cut router bits of those sizes (not included). The jig can easily handle stock ranging from 1/2 to 1½ in. thick and can cut multiple mortises in a single long piece. The body is made of solid, heat treated, high-grade aluminum. Integrated clamps and swing arms secure and align wood for accurate joints. Professional woodworkers and hobbyists alike will appreciate the simplicity and convenience of the Mortise & Tenon Jig and, in no time, you’ll be making joints for cabinets, furniture and frames.

E∙Z Pro Deluxe Pocket Hole Jig Kit (Model #850) This new jig kit enables woodworkers to quickly produce sturdy, attractive pocket hole joints in three types: flush, corner and angle. The included Pocket Hole Jig features a tri-lobe knob for easier tightening and improved clamping torque. By drilling steeply pitched counterbores in one joint member, users can drive self-tapping screws into the other joint member without pilot holes. A hard, molded carrying case safely and securely stores the jig and all of the included accessories. The jig is ideal for making leg and rail joints, table and leg joints, cabinets and picture frames. It comes complete with:

  • 3/8 in. Step Drill Bit with Drill Stop
  • 6 in. Steel Square Drive Bit
  • Hex Wrench
  • 25 Fine Square Drive Screws
  • 25 Coarse Square Drive Screws
  • 25 Wooden Pocket Hole Plugs (3/8 in.; FSC-registered)
